Holcim Officially Acquires OX Engineered Products, Expands Building Envelope Division
Holcim has acquired OX Engineered Products, a leader in advanced wall insulation and sheathing solutions. This acquisition further strengthens Holcim’s commitment to expanding its comprehensive building envelope solutions beyond roofing, providing customers with a broader range of high-performance materials for residential and commercial applications. Holcim Building Envelope’s leadership position and national footprint in the polyiso insulation market will accelerate OX Engineered Products’ growth in polyiso solutions.
OX Engineered Products will operate as a standalone line of business within Holcim Building Envelope, led by Jamie Gentoso, Global Head of Solutions & Products at Holcim and President of Holcim Building Envelope. The strategic acquisition will expand Holcim’s building envelope portfolio into the exterior wall insulation segment.
Says Gentoso: “Holcim’s acquisition of OX Engineered Products is highly synergistic with our leading line of building envelope solutions. We already offer state-of-the-art insulation solutions that assure performance and efficiency for all building types. OX Engineered Products’ complementary technologies allow us to offer an extended range of solutions for residential and commercial applications to meet our North American customers’ needs. I am thrilled to welcome OX Engineered Products to Holcim and our Building Envelope division.”
OX Engineered Products manufactures innovative insulation and weatherization systems for residential and commercial use. In addition, its proprietary technologies range from housewraps and structural sheathing to integrated insulation solutions. OX Engineered Products serves some of the nation’s largest homebuilders and contractors through its manufacturing facilities in the Midwest and Southeast.
The acquisition will grow Holcim Building Envelope’s offerings, helping customers achieve more energy-efficient and sustainable building practices. With this acquisition, Holcim is advancing its goal of expanding its Solutions & Products business to 30% of Group net sales by 2025, entering the most attractive segments of construction, from roofing systems to insulation and renovation.
